For work with a defined scope. Agreed in writing before we start. If the scope changes we re-quote in writing before doing the work — you are never billed for a surprise.
For what a brief cannot predict: changes past the agreed scope, ongoing improvements, and open-ended work where a fixed number would only be a guess. Rate agreed before we start, logged and reported per task.
